Acro - Gymnastics :
Ages 3 + upUsually referred to as “acro” is a combination of dance movements with acrobatic elements. Similar to gymnastic floor exercises, acro features heavy acrobatic content, but adds the element of dance and choreography. Students practice on mats and focus on learning tricks that include cartwheels, handstands, and flips.

Ballet :
All LevelsBallet is a formalized type of performance dance which began in Italy during the 15th century and became a form of concert dance that was popularized in France, Britian, and Russia. Ballet technique is focused on proper body alignment, turn out, and posture. Students are required to learn basic positions and learn intricate turns such as pirouettes and fouettes. Ballet class usually starts with a warm up at the ballet bar and then moves to floor combinations.

Contemporary :
Level 2 dancers + upContemporary Dance is a newer form of dance that draws inspiration from many styles of dance. Contemporary is a fusion of ballet, jazz, lyrical, and post-modern dance. This style draws on modern dance technique which emphasizes contraction and ground work which is opposite of classical ballet. Contemporary is usually danced barefoot or in dance paws and features a lot of floor work.

Hip Hop :
Level 4 dancers + upHip Hop is a form of dance that has evolved somewhat recently from a combination of areas in our culture's music and art. There are now several different styles of Hip Hop dance including but not limited to popping, locking, krumping, waving, and break dancing. It is a very energetic dance form and it has been used in many different ways artistically. It is most popular and well known for its use in music videos and live stage performances.

Jazz :
Level 5 dancers + upJazz Dance developed in the early part of the 20th century and become popularized by Broadway and the Golden Age of Musicals in the 1930s. Jazz’s origins come from Caribbean traditional dance combined with traditional ballet technique. Modernized jazz draws heavily on ballet technique and is characterized by fast paced choreography, leaps, turns, and spins.

Lyrical :
Level 3 dancers + upLyrical Dance is a fusion of classical ballet and jazz. It draws from the technical elements of ballet but has the freedom of jazz dance. Lyrical Dance is expressive and uses musicality and emotion with movement. The style relies heavily on the music and is usually choreographed to a slower, melodic song to emphasize the expressiveness of the dance. Students usually wear half-soles or dance paws for this style of dance.

Tap :
All LevelsTap Dance is characterized by rapid foot-tapping movement. Dancers wear tap shoes that have metal plates attached to the bottom so that when the toe or heal is tapped on the floor, it creates a percussive sound. Tap routines feature steps performed in intricate rhythmic combinations.
