Anita Deprey (Owner):
This is Miss Anita's 41st year of teaching dance in the East Hartford area! Miss Anita started taking dance lessons at the Miss Betty- Ann Gentino School of Dance when she was a little girl. She continues to nurture her own education in the dance arts regularly to benefit her students by keeping current with new dance techniques and styles. She has taken class with some of the greatest choreographers and dancers of this time, which include but are not limited to Frank Hatchett, Bob Rizzo, Savion Glover & MANY others. With her involvement at the presidential level in the 20th Chapter of N.A.D.A.A (National Association of Dance and Affiliated Artists), Miss Anita hires teachers from all over the world to teach at N.A.D.A.A. conventions where she and her students expand their breadth of knowledge in dance. She has always been a devoted and involved member of the East Hartford community and has taught for the summer program at Parks & Recreation for several years and currently choreographs/coaches both the E.H. High School Showchoir Jazzappella AND the junior Showchoir at E.H. Middle School 6-7-8 Incorporated! Miss Anita has won many awards over the years at competition with her students and with her showchoirs, but her most coveted award has been when she was voted "Best Dance Studio" by the community during the 2003-2004 Hartford Advocat's Reader's Poll. Miss Anita also had the great opportunity to choreograph for the Radio Disney Dancers, who performed at many Radio Disney functions and concerts! Miss Anita strives to provide her students with an exciting and fun environment while offering an abundant experience in the dance arts!
Ashley Fischera:
Ashley is a recent honors graduate from The University of Hartford, The Hartt's School Ballet Pedagogy Program. She started her training at New England Civic Ballet and continued at Boston Ballet. She has received many awards and scholarships to further her career. Attending summer programs all around the country. Such as Ballet Met in Columbus Ohio, Juilliard in New York, Boston Ballet in Boston and The Rockette Summer Intensive in New York. Ms. Fichera has also worked with various artists from American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet. Ashley has performed lead roles in Paquita, Giselle, Don Quixote, Sing Sing Sing and Valse Fantasie, at Balanchine Ballet. As well as performing in the musical "FAME " at North Shore Music Theatre. Ashley has also been highlighted in numerous magazines. Since graduating Ashley has choreographed and taught for Boston's Children's Theatre. She was the sole choreographer for their production of "The Wedding Singer" working under some of the best from New York such as, Toby Schine. Most recently she has performed at Dance New Amsterdam in New York. Premiering Ruth Lewis's, M Theory and is currently dancing with CONNetic Contemporary Dance Company. Ms. Fichera is in and out of New York freelancing and choreographing and is quickly making a name for herself. She is excited to break boundaries and put her stamp on the dance world.
Michael Lupacchino
A Connecticut native, Michael began his dancing career (at the age of two) at his Aunt’s studio, the Anita Deprey Studio of Dance. His training included: Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and (some) Acro-Gymnastics. Michael continued his studies at Emerson College with a Dance Minor taking classes in Modern, Jazz, Composition and Choreography, and Ballet. At Emerson Michael founded the new incarnation of the Emerson Dance Company and served as President for almost three years.
Michael has experience choreographing numerous styles. He has choreographed “Show Choir” routines for East Hartford High School’s Concert Choir and served as dance captain for the EHHS Show Choir “Jazzappella.” He has also choreographed numerous Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Contemporary routines for the Emerson Dance Company. Other works include choreography for Emerson’s Shakespeare Society, and audition routines for the EVVY awards.
To date, Michael’s biggest achievement has been choreographing for Emerson Stage, two years in a row. In 2009 and 2010, Michael’s experimental dances were performed in the Greene Theater at Emerson College. His piece “Pan Anthro Omni” from X-Dance 2009 garnered him an EVVY for “Outstanding Choreography.”
Recently Michael choreographed for DanceWorks Boston and OnStage Dance Company and is an adjunct coach/instructor for the competition team at the Anita Deprey Studio of Dance. Michael was also the contemporary teacher for the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Arts (NADAA), Connecticut Chapter Convention in January 2012.
Michael graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Marketing Communications and minors in both Dance and Psychology.

Jason Warley
Jason Warley has more than 15 years experience as a dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist. His training began under jazz dance legend, Frank Hatchett, and subsequently at Lehman College, Broadway Dance Center, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center (currently known as The Ailey School). Jason's professional performing opportunities led him to work with celebrated choreographers, Peter Pucci (of, Pilobolus), Edward Morgan (of, The Joffrey Ballet), Slam (of Madonna's,“The Blond Ambition Tour”), Brian Thomas (Emmy Award nominee), and Tony Award winning choreographer, Jerry Mitchell. Early in his career, he did world tours with recording artists, Shannon, Le Click and the Backstreet Boys. As a choreographer, Jason's works include productions of Ragtime, Dreamgirls, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Singin' in the Rain, and recently, Dreamgirls-in-Concert for ReVision Theatre Company, starring Patrice Covington-Bland as, Effie (Dreamgirls, National Tour, 2010). He also choreographed a 2000 world tour for 80's pop diva, Shannon. Jason has served on the sub-faculty at the world acclaimed, Broadway Dance Center in New York City and has led master classes and workshops at a host of other dance institutions throughout the United States and Japan. Currently he is on faculty at Center Stage Dance & Theatre School.
